On: Pragmatism, Hope, and Radical-ity

(CONNECTICUT) – I write this today from a hospital bed. I won't tell you which hospital, for obvious reasons, but nevertheless, from a bed in a hospital in the wealthy state of Connecticut that I have lived in for some significant period of time. A couple of weeks ago, an SUV hit me while I was crossing the road. In such a manner that the only thing I remember is taking a step, then the car managing to hit me so hard that I have no memory of hitting the pavement, only the ER, then the day after. I have no memory of being operated on, which is probably good because the anesthesiologist would have been doing a pretty bad job if I did.
